Complex Trauma Therapy

Complex trauma is experienced when a distressing or emotionally painful situation occurs over an extended period of time, involving physical, emotional, verbal, sexual or substance abuse, from caregivers or those we deem “trustworthy.”

Today, medical science recognizes that trauma is not only ‘in our heads’ - but physically ‘imprinted in our bodies,’ - if not ‘processed’ and ‘resolved’, a victims brain capacity to develop normally is altered, having profound effects on a victims physical health, future relationships, social skills, financial opportunities and may even lead to a perpetuating cycle of trauma within family units.

Trauma causes the brain mechanisms to dysregulate causing the nervous system to store the memories as pictures in the subconscious mind. The emotion coupled to that memory at the time of the incident, is stored in the physical body as cellular memories, changing how we see and react to the world around us from a subconscious level, causing victims to interpret others' actions towards themselves as " I'm not worthy of care", "I trust no one", "I need to look for danger everywhere", and nobody is ever going to love me."

With specialized cellular memory techniques, coupled with hypnosis, trauma can be released from the subconscious mind and physical body, allowing the brain to reverse the damage and develop normally.

  • A qualified therapist uses specialized bodywork techniques to release the embedded emotions and link them to the root cause with resolution

  • Hypnosis may be used to allow the client to be in a relaxed state

  • Sessions are 2.5 hrs.

How Many Sessions Do You Need?

Usually, the number of sessions will be agreed upon on an individual basis, depending on the complexity of your trauma. Generally you will experience profound shifts in your patterns and emotions after 2 sessions.
